Ways of Observing
the City

The city changes every second. These collections are my way of making some of those moments stay.

Light & Shadow

Collection 01

Light & Shadow

Where light becomes the main character.

A collection where people become silhouettes and light becomes the storyteller. These are photographs made in the brief moments when a beam of sunlight crosses a street and catches a passer-by mid-step.

Faces in Passing

Collection 02

Faces in Passing

Fleeting expressions and brief encounters.

The people who cross our path for only a second. Faces that we notice but never truly meet. This collection is about the humanity of strangers.

Urban Geometry

Collection 03

Urban Geometry

Lines, shapes, and the city as a stage.

The architecture of the city as a silent partner in the photograph. Corners, walls, windows, and shadows that arrange themselves into a composition, waiting for someone to step in.

Reflections

Collection 04

Reflections

A second reality hidden inside the city.

Rain-slick pavements. Shop windows. Puddles. The city seen twice — once directly, once through what reflects it.

Cityscapes

Collection 05

Cityscapes

Portugal's landmarks as they stand — light, stone, and time.

Some places do not need people to be alive. This collection is a study of Portuguese landmarks — palaces, monasteries, and façades that have been standing long enough to have their own presence. The light finds them differently at each hour of the day, and I try to be there when it does.

Collection 06

Night Walks

When the city slows down and the light changes.

The hours after sunset. The trams almost empty. The streetlamps making their own kind of daylight. Night in Lisbon is quieter, but it is not silent.

Fleeting Moments

Collection 07

Fleeting Moments

Instants that last less than a second.

The photographs that almost did not happen. A gesture, a glance, a step. Moments that arrive without warning and disappear before we can name them.

“Every collection begins the same way.
A walk. A light. A moment.
The rest is observation.”
